Avoid alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid blood-thinning supplements unless medically necessary. Come hydrated and with healthy lips. If you have a history of cold sores, speak with your physician about antiviral medication before treatment. If you’ve had lip filler, wait at least 4 weeks before your appointment.
Lips may appear brighter immediately after the procedure and soften as they heal. Mild dryness, tenderness, and light flaking are normal during the first week. Final healed color typically settles over the following weeks.
