Pre-Care

Before your appointment
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for 48–72 hours unless prescribed.
  • Do not exercise on the day of your appointment.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, tanning beds, and excessive sun exposure for 7 days prior.
  • Discontinue retinol, acids, acne treatments, and active skincare in the area for 4 weeks prior.
  • No Botox or dermal fillers in the treatment area for 2 weeks prior.
  • Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, oils, heavy creams, or sunscreen.
  • Eat a light meal and stay hydrated. You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • No brow tinting, lamination, waxing, threading, or tweezing for 7 days prior.
  • Avoid sun exposure or sunburn in the brow area for 7–10 days prior.
  • Do not exfoliate or use active skincare on the brow area for 4 weeks prior.
  • No Botox or fillers in the forehead or brow area for 2 weeks prior.
  • If prone to cold sores, consult your physician for antiviral medication.
  • Begin antiviral medication 3–5 days prior if prescribed.
  • Gently exfoliate lips for 5 days prior and keep them well hydrated.
  • No lip fillers for 4 weeks prior.
  • No lash extensions for 5–7 days prior.
  • No lash lifts or tinting for 2 weeks prior.
  • Discontinue lash growth serums for 8 weeks prior.
  • Do not wear contact lenses on the day of treatment.
  • Areola: no earlier than 6 months after the last surgery or reconstruction, and only once your surgeon confirms the area is ready. Where scars are still changing, expect 9–12 months.
  • Medical clearance may be requested where there is reason to — after complications, radiotherapy, difficult healing, or any doubt about whether the tissue is ready.
  • Scar camouflage: the scar must be mature, fully healed, stable and lighter than the surrounding skin — usually 6–12 months after surgery, though the condition of the tissue matters more than the date. Keloid scars are not treated at all. Nor are red or bright pink scars, pronounced raised or thickened scars, scars still crusting, or scars darker than your skin, including hyperpigmentation.
  • Stretch marks: mature and stable; fresh red or purple marks need to finish maturing first.
  • Avoid scar creams, silicone gels, and retinoids for 14 days prior.

Aftercare

Healing guide
  • Healing is a gradual and individualized process.
  • Initial redness, dryness, flaking, sensitivity, or temporary color changes are normal.
  • Pigment retention varies based on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare compliance.
  • Final results are evaluated only after full healing.
  • Keep the treated area clean and dry for the first 24 hours.
  • Do not touch, rub, scratch, or pick.
  • Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and sweating for 7–10 days.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2–4 weeks.
  • Use only approved aftercare products as directed.
  • Brows: clean gently 1–2× daily; expect light flaking days 4–7; color softens 30–40%.
  • Lips: apply balm 2–3× daily; days 1–2 swelling; days 3–5 flaking; true color settles within 10–28 days.
  • Do not pick, peel, or exfoliate.
  • Eyes: keep dry 10 days; no eye makeup or mascara for 10 days; no lash serums for 8 weeks.
  • Areola: keep clean and dry; avoid pressure and friction; final results after 8–12 weeks.
  • Scar camouflage: healing varies; multiple sessions may be required.
